At the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, Great Wall Motors brought the new Shanhaipao HEV and Shanhaipao PHEV. The new car is based on the off-road super hybrid architecture and is built around the two cores of "green and performance". The new model adopts several major features such as engine parallel connection, intelligent energy management strategy, and hard-core all-terrain adaptability. It improves fuel economy and comfort while maintaining the strong off-road capabilities of Shanhaigun.
Shanhaigun PHEV
Shanhaipao PHEV is equipped with a 2.0T+9HAT hybrid system. Among them, the 2.0T engine equipped with Shanhaipao PHEV adopts Miller cycle and has a maximum torque of 385N·m. The car integrates a P2 motor in the 9HAT transmission, with a maximum power of 120kW and a torque of 400Nm. After the two are combined, the comprehensive power of the power system is 300kW, the comprehensive torque is 750N·m, and the 0-100km/h acceleration time is only 6.9 seconds.
As a pickup truck, Shanhaipao PHEV still has strong off-road performance. It adopts a new generation of intelligent real-time four-wheel drive with Mlock mechanical locking function., can freely switch between intelligent four-wheel drive (AWD), high-speed four-wheel drive (4H), and low-speed four-wheel drive (4L) modes.
The new Shanhaipao PHEV is equipped with a 37kWh battery, which can bring 110km of pure electric range and 900km of comprehensive range. The battery is arranged above the frame to reduce the risk of impact to the bottom. The PHEV model also provides a 3.3kW external discharge function, which can cooperate with a variety of power consumption scenarios to improve the convenience of outdoor activities.
In addition, Shanhaipao PHEV also provides a series of off-road auxiliary functions including "off-road cruising, tank turning, and exclusive off-road application customization".
Shanhaigun HEV
Shanhai Pao HEV is also built on the off-road super hybrid architecture, equipped with a 2.0T gasoline engine and 9HAT transmission, with a comprehensive power of 255kW and a comprehensive torque of 648N·m.
Compared with the pure fuel version, Shanhaipao HEV uses the motor to directly drive the vehicle to crawl forward under conditions such as starting and congestion, which improves driving quality and reduces urban fuel consumption. Shanhaipao HEV can achieve better fuel consumption than diesel and an experience comparable to that of a 3.0T engine.
