Bitauto's original JAC Motors has always occupied a large share in the domestic MPV market. Now it has brought a new medium and large plug-in hybrid MPV Refine RF8. The new car was officially unveiled at this year's Chengdu Auto Show and is based on JAC Refine MUSE. Built on a smart electric architecture, it is the first mass-produced medium and large plug-in hybrid MPV under this architecture.
The appearance adopts a very grand design style. The huge grille almost occupies the entire front face and adopts an integrated layout with the headlights. The side surrounds on both sides of the front face look very dynamic, adding a lot of impact to the front face.
After it is launched in the future, Refine RF8 will have 3 front face shapes to choose from, 5 exterior colors, and 4 interior colors.
In terms of size, the vehicle length of 5.2 meters, the vehicle width of 1.88 meters, and the wheelbase of 3.1 meters ensure ample seating space. Looking from the side, the new car has a slender and smooth line design, and the window design creates the effect of a suspended roof.
Coming to the rear of the car, the overall look is very simple. The design of through-type taillights is highly recognizable.
The interior adopts a design with LCD instruments and a large central control screen. Fortunately, it retains a lot of physical buttons, making it easier to use. The new car uses the Hongmeng engine system, but it is not the final version because it is a trial car. It is equipped with crystal gears, which adds a lot of luxury to the car.
The 6-seater model has a 2-2-2 layout. The second/third row cockpit is relatively complete in function, including a small table, three-phase power supply, and electric leg rest. , and the third row also provides good legroom. A 7-seat model will also be available after launch, but the comfort of the third row will be compromised.
The third row of seats supports sliding forward and backward but does not support folding down. It can expand the trunk space for luggage, and the depth and vertical height are not bad.
In terms of power, the new car will be available in plug-in hybrid and pure fuel versions. The model actually shot this time is a plug-in hybrid version, equipped with a DEH special engine + 3DHT + large-capacity battery. The pure electric range can exceed 200km, and the comprehensive range exceeds 1,200km. The pure fuel version will be equipped with a 2.0T+8AT combination.
At present, the new energy MPV market is becoming increasingly popular, and pure electric models still have battery life concerns. Plug-in hybrids are the best solution for daily use. Refeng RF8 is also JAC's first new energy MPV. If the price is sincere enough, will you consider it?
