On June 25, AITO Wenjie M5 was unveiled at the 2022 Chongqing Auto Show. The new caris positioned as a new energy medium-sized SUV and is built based on the pure electric drive range extension platform DE-i. The platform has a 4-second 0-100km/h acceleration experience and a battery life of 1,100km.

In terms of styling, the Wenjie M5 adopts a new design language. The sharp headlights and the inverted trapezoidal air intake grille make its front face look very distinctive. Visual impact, and the latest brand logo hangs in the center of the front face. It is understood that Wenjie M5 has 6 paint colors and 3 interior colors to choose from.

Wenjie M5 adopts a fastback body, and the rear adopts the popular through-type taillight set, and the central part of the taillight also bears the brand letter logo AITO. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4770x1930x1625mm, and the wheelbase is 2880mm. It is positioned as a medium-sized SUV.

Wenjie M5 adopts an enveloping cockpit design. The center console has a T-shaped layout, with a 10.4-inch curved full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch semi-suspended center console. The screen further enhances the level of technology in the car. It is worth mentioning that Wenjie M5 is the first to be equipped with the Hongmeng OS smart cockpit, enabling easier interactive operations and a more comfortable interactive experience.

In terms of power, the Wenjie M5 based on the pure electric drive range-extended platform DE-i continues the range-extended hybrid system. The maximum power of the 1.5T four-cylinder engine is 92kW, the rated power of the drive motor is 60kW, and the peak power is 165kW (front axle motor) and 150kW (rear axle motor) respectively. The Wenjie M5 power battery has a capacity of 40kWh, and the four-wheel drive version has a pure electric range of 150 kilometers under WLTC conditions. The officially announced 0-100km/h acceleration time of the four-wheel drive flagship version is 4.4 seconds.
