Kia's new pickup truck may be based on Hyundai Santa Cruz

Previously, Kia Motors executives were interviewed by the media and were asked whether they would be willing to launch a Kia version of the Santa Cruz pickup truck to compete with the Ford Maverick pickup truck. It means it will be welcomed with open arms.

These remarks mean that as long as market demand permits, Kia will also launch a pickup truck version based on the Santa Cruz. The new car may be built with an appearance and interior design concept similar to the new Sportage. The latter It is the same-platform brother of the Hyundai Tucson.

In terms of power system, it is expected to be similar to the Hyundai Santa Cruz, equipped with a 2.5L engine with a power of 142kW and a torque of 244N·m. It is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission and uses a front-wheel drive Drive form. In addition, a 2.5T engine will be provided with a power of 205kW and a torque of 420N·m, matched with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a four-wheel drive system.
